Live Group – Free outdoor shows (2019)

Starting on June 28 and throughout the summer season, free and varied outdoor shows will be presented on Friday evenings from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Place Centrale. Several local up-and-coming music groups will be invited to take turns to punctuate the summer.

The musical performances at Place Centrale are made possible thanks to the collaboration of La Centrale des artistes de Laval.

Soul Secret Agency

Soul Secret Agency - July 12

Directed by Danny Trudeau, this collective delivers a fiery and nostalgic retrospective of the 1960s, soul and rhythm & blues era. Armed with Abigail Galwey's powerful voice, Soul Secret Agency is the next great soul music act. Songs exploring love, desire and self-discovery are performed with lyrical ingenuity and rich melodies.

Until now, Soul Secret Agency was the best kept secret in the city, but not for long.

Maracujá

Maracujá, the passion fruit first fell from the tree on the Casino de Montréal stage in 2003. Since then, the fruit has sprouted into a Brazilian garden throughout the Montreal music scene, with fans all over Quebec of their unique and exhilarating sound that shines far beyond the Brazilian community of the city.

With 13 years of existence, Maracujá has cultivated its distinct musical signature by focusing on lyricism, harmony and improvisation, in addition to the dynamism of Brazilian rhythmic.

The Fat Cats

The Fat Cats were born in 2016 from the merger of two previous groups, The Swing Kids and Jivecity, two groups that have been active in the entertainment and event industry in Quebec for over 15 years.

The vintage-looking band stands out with very dynamic performances combining Rock & Roll, swing and pop music. From Elvis Presley to Katy Perry, via the Beach Boys, the ensemble also includes current hits in their repertoire, which they reworked in their own way, in the tradition of the Postmodern Jukebox.

The Hurt - August 9

The Hurt's music is firmly rooted in the wonderful tradition of Funk, Soul and R & B. The band covers a wide range of classic songs of the genre and offers original songs, all with the specific purpose of ensuring that the public is on the dance floor! The Hurt is based in the beautiful city of Montreal, but offers its granular rhythms and sensual soul all over the planet! Lots of love to everyone and to the party, Funkateers!

Raffy

Known for their multi-instrumentalist singer, their extraordinary stage presence and their original arrangements of popular songs, Raffy will amaze you! This experienced group will take you back in time to perform the greatest hits of disco, funk, pop, dance, top 40, rock, reggae in their own way and surprise you with percussion rhythms, catchy saxophone melodies and much more!

On stage, the quartet will take you into an explosive universe and the charisma of the whole group will certainly make you smile, dance and sing!
